Walking along in a mall a few years ago, way back at the beginning of the millennia, I spotted twinkling LEDs coming from a little boys shoes. I remember thinking it was a great idea because you can spot your child in a crowd and the kids really seem to have fun with it.
From time to time I thought about the shoes and eventually I wondered why there were no LED shoes for adults. So anyways, I finally set our to making a pair for Nuit Blanche Toronto (2008).
Essentially the shoes use LED strips and a tilt-switch to turn the lights on and off when you take steps. The shoes are good for dancing (although I obviously can’t dance based on my video), or walking around at night, or just for fooling round.
